About Me

A determined and detail-orientated professional, I have continually volunteered with NSW State Emergency Service (SES) in various units and roles for over 14 years, while concurrently managing a successful retail shop and directing my own business. I am organised, methodical, and objective, I remain calm under pressure and strive to devise innovative solutions for any problem. With my passion for team welfare, I prioritise mentorship and performance capability development to promote a culture of excellence, safety, collaboration, and teamwork adapted to the diverse needs of the individuals and team dynamic. A natural leader, I lead by example and consistently exemplify best practices, standards and performance.

Flexible, with strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail, I implement innovative solutions which are informed, appropriate and effective. I do this by working closely with every team member to gather all relevant information and come to the best solution for all those involved. Driven by my strong personal values of respect, honesty, and integrity, I thrive on new challenges and strive to overcome all trials, taking the opportunity for continuous professional and personal development..

My Philosophy

  • Collaboration: I am committed to building strong relationships across any organisation I am involved in. I continually endeavour to create inclusive and cohesive teams by involving people in decision making process, encouraging innovation and ideas, as well as being supportive and understanding of changes to employee’s life.

  • Integrity and Transparency: I always advocate for ethical decision-making in all aspects of the work environment, from initial training to exit interviews. A quality workplace will only function when all levels of employees are committed to using open communication and building trust within the workplace.

  • Diversity and Inclusion: By not only accepting differences within coworkers, employees, and team mates I have always fostered an environment of equal opportunities. By celebrating those differences I have also created an environment where people from diverse religious or cultural backgrounds are encouraged to teach others about their history, those with neurodiversity’s are comfortable and supported during training, and employees with diverse gender identities or sexual orientations are confident to be themselves without fear of judgement.

  • Employee Development: By prioritising training, mentorship, and career development opportunities I strive help employees achieve their full potential in any area they chose. This includes support for employees who choose to change areas of speciality.

  • Adaptability: As a mother of a neurodivergent child and a long-term volunteer within emergency services, being adaptable is key. Emergencies rarely happen when it is convenient, my flexibility and resilience have been instrumental to maintaining growth and harmony within all aspects of life.
